The coffee machine is extremely simple and easy to use as it is controlled with only 2 buttons. With the help of these buttons, you will be able to control the flow of the coffee allowing you to make a small amount of Espresso as well as a bigger amount of Lungo. Fast water heating system warms the water to the right temperature in just 25 seconds, therefore the preparation of coffee drinks takes only a short period of time. The coffee machine is supplemented with an automatic turn off after 9 minutes of not using it to reduce energy consumption.

Sadly our old Nespresso original machine manufactured by Kenwood in Eastern Europe failed – we had been using it for many, many years so it did us well. Because we have a stock of the original capsules we had to go for a similar machine which we found on CoffeeFriend. The new machine arrived – bigger and heavier than the old machine and, sadly, made in China which means that it has had a heavy environmental impact having travelled so far. Because China has such a poor record on human rights, the fact that they gave the world Covid-19 as well as the environmental impact of transport over the large distance we now have a policy of not buying Chinese manufactured goods when we can avoid it, preferring European manufactured products where available. It is now time for all retailers, both online and high street, to include manufacturing source when describing the product being sold. As for the machine – it appears to work satisfactorily but is heavier, does not offer all the features that were available on the old European machine, and we are not confident on the lifespan of the machine.
